Paul Knight, AICP

Senior Planning Associate

Paul Knight joined Historical Concepts full time in 2011 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners. He holds dual Masters degrees from Georgia Tech in Architecture and City Planning and applies this expertise in his work with both public and private clients, from small towns navigating zoning reform to developers seeking to create walkable, enduring places. His research on the relationship between legal codes and the built environment has been featured at national conferences, in peer-reviewed publications, and on podcasts, and led Paul to co-found the Doug Allen Institute, a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to advancing the understanding and practice of city planning and urban design through rigorous historical research and public education, where he now serves as Director of Research.
