Matt Schaefer joined Historical Concepts in 2017 after obtaining his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Notre Dame. His focus is the juncture of sustainability and placemaking, from the longevity of traditional construction techniques to the health benefits of walkable neighborhoods. He is a devoted student of the father of landscape architecture, Frederick Law Olmsted, and is currently pursuing a Masters in Ecosystem Health to specialize in restoring ecosystem services and improving biodiversity alongside new development.
