Chris Eiland, RA

Senior Associate

Chris Eiland was exposed to traditional design and construction from a young age through his father’s residential remodeling company. Chris’s understanding of integrity and work ethic was fundamentally shaped by watching and working alongside his dad and brother on the jobsite, and this experience laid the groundwork for his genuine interest in each phase of a project from conceptual design through construction. While earning his degree in architecture from the University of Notre Dame, Chris completed two internships at Historical Concepts before joining the firm full-time in 2006.

Chris considers himself a true generalist and particularly appreciates the way traditional design draws together many established disciplines into a tangible, built result. Over the course of his career, he has contributed to a wide range of commercial, planning, and residential projects throughout the country. Promoted to Partner in 2024, Chris is known for his thoughtful leadership, mentoring colleagues while guiding teams with a grounded, hands-on approach to design and project management. Outside of the office, he especially values time with his family and almost always has an improvement project underway at his own 100-year-old home.
