Madeline Seago

Madeline Seago always wanted to be an illustrator and artist. Homeschooled while traveling across the country in her family’s Airstream caravan, experiencing great cities and architecture firsthand was deeply influential in steering her toward architecture. After a summer 2019 internship with the firm’s New York and Atlanta teams, Madeline joined Historical Concepts in 2020 upon graduating from the University of Notre Dame. Her thesis proposal for a women’s boardinghouse in Manhattan was inspired by the Webster Apartments, where she lived during her internship in New York. The project won a 2020 Stanford White Student Award from the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art.

Madeline enjoys working alongside husband, and Historical Concepts colleague, Andrew Seago. While at Historical Concepts, Madeline and Andrew have been TAs for ICAA Drawing Tours in Washington, D.C. and Savannah. Madeline loves spending time with her young daughter and husband – particularly playing with blocks. Madeline is on the construction side of things, her daughter is the demolition team.
