Joshua Soares

Joshua Soares has always loved building things from LEGO sets to sandcastles. He originally planned to be a civil engineer, but after his first year of college, he realized that Architecture was his true calling. He fell in love with the beauty of Classical Architecture during his travels to Portugal, Spain, and Sweden, which led to studying at the Catholic University of America and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Master of Architecture. He is a member of the Congress for New Urbanism (CNU) and The Institute of Classical Architecture & Arts (ICAA) and recipient of the David M. Schwarz Architects Thesis Fellowship Award. Joshua spends his weekends playing or watching soccer, 3D printing, and model making when he’s not designing or sketching. He also enjoys reading and audiobooks—he’s an ardent J.R.R. Tolkien fan and has spent two years reading his complete works.
