Evan Markley

Growing up in a military family, Evan Markley was accustomed to relocating frequently; his parents would purchase and renovate a home with each move, which influenced his interest in building design early on. Living throughout the United States introduced him to various local architectural languages, and he developed a deep passion for traditional design under the guidance of James McCrery at The Catholic University of America, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture and Master of Architecture with concentration in Classical Architecture and Urbanism. Evan took part in Historical Concepts’ Intern Program in the summer of 2021 and joined the firm in 2022. An avid sports lover, Evan played lacrosse for Catholic University while completing his master’s thesis on the integration of athletics and academics in the university setting.
