Alison Buersmeyer, RA

Alison Buersmeyer, unlike many of her colleagues, made a “very late” decision to become an architect. She received her Bachelor of Architecture degree with a concentration in Architectural Practice and Entrepreneurship from the University of Notre Dame. An internship led to G. P. Schafer Architect in New York, where she worked on residential projects throughout the US, from guest house barns in Maine and Newport Beach to apartment and townhouse renovations in New York City.

Ali has volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City, served as an Intern Coordinator at GPSA, and was a Resident Assistant while a student at Notre Dame. She enjoys cooking and is always trying new recipes for her roommates. A huge sports fan, Ali is a regular at her neighborhood Liverpool Football Club supporters’ bar early on weekend mornings. She has loved playing The Sims (one of the best-selling video game series of all time) since middle school; her mother credits her initial curiosity in architecture to her time designing houses in the game.
