Office Administrator Zahin Mahbuba has always been a people person, motivated to serve communities in need and be a catalyst for positive change. She was drawn to Historical Concepts because she believes the work environment will further hone and support her development and aspiration to leave a legacy. Zahin joined the team in the summer of 2022 and is already well on her way to achieving that goal.

A graduate of Hollins University (Roanoke, Virginia) with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and a minor in Economics, she was President of the Entrepreneurship Club and was an international student peer mentor for three years. As a Stanford University Innovation Fellow, she co-taught a first-year class on sustainability and social innovation. Zahin has also volunteered at Feeding America and domestic violence shelters and is a fervent advocate for refugees and resettlement through her work with numerous refugee agencies. Zahin’s student awards and recognitions include the Hollins University 2022 Sarah M. Cook International Studies Award, Global Commitment Scholar, and induction into Phi Beta Kappa and Omnicron Delta Kappa honor societies. Zahin considers herself a global citizen; she loves to travel and explore new places. When she has down time, she loves curling up with a good book or jamming out to some Afrobeats while cooking.
